Yes, a great article; thanks for mentioning it. It is still important for the community to realize that the need for our own NW milk bank is great--the CO and CA milk banks are having difficulty filling the orders for the NW region. We have so many NW breastfeeding moms who are donating, now we have more hospitals stocking donor milk, what WE NEED is the financial means to purchase equipment, rent space, etc. to open a processing milk bank now! I am hoping to start volunteering at the NW milk bank in the new year. I will keep spreading the word...I agree that we need to get it up and running.
